From the hold of a barge designed by Le Corbusier to the Niemeyer’s PCF headquarters, to the LA Riverbed, FCK is inspired by urban landscapes to imagine everyday objects in ceramic. He delivers a version that is always raw, imperfect and rough, close to the aesthetics of concrete, thanks to the material he has developed. For this itinerant artist/artisan, who has had a career as an artistic director in the film industry and then studied landscape design at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure du Paysage de Versailles, each residency is a total art project. A book like a paper ream taken out of the printer in black and white to dive into the material, graphically purified, brutalist as an object realized on the 10 residences of FCK. A step to give envy to friends and collectors of a simple & chosen daily life The text of this book is written by Marie Godfrain, journalist specialized in design and architecture.
