Our detailed guide on how to use Yoast SEO for your Woo eCommerce site.

  1. Install the Yoast SEO plugin on your WordPress site.
  2. Go to the plugin’s configuration page, and fill out the website information in the “General” tab, such as business name, address, and social profiles.
  3. Set up your XML Sitemap in the “Features” tab and enable it.
  4. Under the “Titles & Metas” tab, configure your title and meta descriptions for pages, posts, categories, and tags.
  5. In the “Social” tab, add your social media profiles, set your default image, and configure the Facebook and Twitter metadata.
  6. Go to the “Search Appearance” tab, and set up your content types, taxonomies, and archives.
  7. Use the “Text Link Counter” and “Cornerstone Content” sections to improve your internal linking and ensure that you have a strong pillar content.
  8. In the “Tools” section, use the “File Editor” to add custom code to your site’s header and footer.
  9. Monitor your progress in the “Search Console” tab, and fix any crawl errors and broken links.
  10. Use the “Advanced” section to set up redirects, breadcrumbs, and other advanced features.
  11. Finally, run regular SEO checks using the “Analysis” section, and use the suggestions to improve your website’s ranking and visibility.
